You can maximise your chances of success by making contact in advance with a recruitment consultant who is a specialist in your market, to discuss and understand the demand for your specific skill set. The role of a recruitment consultant is to facilitate the best possible match between you and a potential employer. They have priority access to brand new vacancies every day, which means that you can find out about potential opportunities before they are advertised.
RECOMMENDING ACCA OVER LOCAL QUALIFICATION
Many consultants working in the larger agencies are aware of the ACCA Qualification. However, it is often necessary to encourage consultants to have the confidence to recommend ACCA members to their clients.
Employers have clear specifications of the applicants they are looking for. Recruitment consultants may need to be persuaded to put forward an accountant without ‘traditional’ experience.
